Here's my take.

There are people falling over dead in the street. When I saw it on TV, it looked like a third world country, right here in the United States. FEMA didn't acknowledge the fact that people were dying, babies, elderly, men, women, & children, on bridges, in houses, drowning, starving, dehydrated. This is AMERICA. More people, normal, ordinary everyday people, gave out more food & medical attention IMMEDIATELY, than FEMA did in 4 days. Almost 5 days. Michael Brown the head of FEMA said he didn't even KNOW there were people dying like that.

Uh, excuse me, I'm a thousand miles away, with no satellite dish, no extra special communication equipment and no family in the disaster areas. But, I watch the NEWS. You mean to tell me, that a hillbilly chick like me, can find out something faster than the head of fucking FEMA? Uh uh, no way, no how.

He said there was communication trouble. No shit, Sherlock. Entire cities are DEMOLISHED. Did you think for a moment, that there were magical electrical impulses that just happened to make their way to CNN, FOX, MSNBC? Give America a FUCKING break.

Do you know why people are thinking it's a racist thing? Because almost 70% of New Orleans residents are black people. All you see on the news regarding this huge disaster is black people, brown people, and a few white folks. I don't blame people for getting food and water and baby supplies. Humans NEED that to survive. They don't have to have a brand new pair of Nike's or a big screen Sony TV. There's a difference.

People should NOT be raping ANYONE. What the FUCK is wrong with them? Why in hell would anyone in THIS time of serious need, start raping people at gunpoint? Idiots.
How many cops have walked off the job? No WONDER it's chaotic.

My Uncle lived in New Orleans, and it wasn't because he had a lot of money to spend to live lavishly. He moved there because he HAD to. Most people in New Orleans don't HAVE money to spend on extras. It's hard enough (even NOT in a devastated area) to live day by day, or paycheck to paycheck. They didn't have enough money for plane tickets, bus tickets, GAS. Hell, maybe they didn't even have a car or even a BIKE to take them somewhere safe.

The ENTIRE United States, minus FEMA, knew that this hurricane was coming. Before companies got their buses, planes, cars, taxis OUT of there, would it have hurt them to pack them up with people who NEEDED to LEAVE the inevitable? Would it have hurt the Governor, the Mayors or whoever, to make SURE that NO ONE WAS LEFT BEHIND? Would it have hurt the GOVERNMENT to follow up to make sure that NO ONE WAS LEFT BEHIND?

Surely, being the richest nation in the world, something could have been done to at least alleviate the pain and suffering these people have been caused because of someone's lack of INTELLIGENCE and PURE STUPIDITY and the IGNORANCE in believing that "it couldn't be as bad as they say it is". FUCK YOU.
